Raleigh had no idea what the status of his relationship with Zach was at this point. It was complicated to say the least. The very least. He also didn't know what to do to change things or even how he wanted them to be from this point forward. Sure, he could say he wanted to go back in time and that he wanted things as they once were. But there was no going back and the future was so uncertain now. He had resolved to take each moment and deal with it as it came to him. For the first time in a long time, Raleigh was not going to think or plan ahead. He was going to take everything as it came to him and deal with it exactly how he felt he wanted to in that moment.
Which is how he ended up here, reading through some book he had picked up off the shelf while laying in bed, waiting for Zach to come and join him. He was almost certain that they had been on the same page about the sleeping arrangements by the time that awkward conversation via journals had ended. But time would tell. Raleigh was hopeful but still nervous as his eyes darted back and forth from the pages of the book to the doorway, waiting for Zach to show up any minute now.
