WHO: Nick Sloper and Sebastian Wagtail.
WHAT: Hanging out in a date-like setting.
WHEN: Saturday night.
WHERE: Wands, the Friends and Lovers Party.
RATING: TBD.
STATUS: Closed/Incomplete.
Nick was entirely unsure what he was doing here. It wasn't like he hadn't gone on dates before. With girls. He'd been suitably nervous then, but had still managed to show the girl in question a nice, polite time that had rarely, but occasionally, ended in someone getting at least partially nude. But that was girls. Nick's experience with the male gender had mostly been restricted to catching the eyes of drunk men in pubs and not noticing until Sin got uncomfortable and either punched someone or dragged Nick out of that pub never to return.
This, though. This was different. This had involved him being asked out (he assumed) by a rather fit looking bloke who had been entirely sober (he assumed) at the time and the bloke had brought him chocolates. Nick had almost been tempted to sit out the rest of the date and just spend his night watching the History channel and eating the chocolates, but that had only been a very small portion of him, the nervous potion that was unsure whether or not this was a date and wasn't getting any help from Sebastian on that front. And Nick wasn't about to ask him, because that would be lame, wouldn't it?
That had been hours ago, before the two of them had arrived at Wands, and Nick was actually having a good time. The bartenders here were a bit crap at making drinks capable of knocking him out, but he had a nice buzz going on and the drag show had been excellent, so excellent he was at a loss as to why he'd never accompanied Mil or Mary to Wands before.
"Do they do these sorts of things all the time?" he asked after the drag show had ended and he and Sebastian were lingering by the bar waiting for the bartender to get them their latest round of drinks. "I should try having one at the Leaky, see if my boss wouldn't be up for attracting the new clientele."
Which was how Nick Sloper flirted. By talking about work while on a date that might not have really been a date. Mary would be ashamed.
