It wasn't that he hadn't been interested in taking Heather up on her offer; it was mostly that time had gotten away from Benji. April seemed to fly by, and he'd spent the last few weeks working on the land his twin was working on purchasing. He'd made sure to ask if it was okay, of course, but he'd rather thought he'd go out of his mind if he didn't have anything to keep busy with. And, frankly, the land was an overgrown mess. Even with his magic, it was a lot of work.

But today, he'd decided he wasn't going to work, and his mind kept drifting to the wolf-woman. Sure, she had his number and hadn't reached out either, but he just assumed she'd been equally busy. Regardless, it was mid-morning when he finished cleaning up from breakfast and sat at the fire pit he'd built his second day here, pulling his phone out of his pocket. Navigating to his contacts, his thumb hovered over her name as he prevaricated. Would she read more into it?

A glance at Pepper had him sighing, and he finally hit the call button, bringing the phone up to his ear. It would do him good to socialize outside his sister and his dog. He'd figure out the rest as he went along.
