Re: Benny + Riley (Saturday 8pm)
He raised his own un-spiked cup back in return and took a sip. It was good lemonade at least, he was just a little too jittery after his run in with Gabriel to want to drink right now.
"I guess I missed out on that stuff, and the continuing education stuff for my license really isn't the same," he said, laughing. As much as Benny thought he might have enjoyed the social aspects of the college experience he didn't think he was cut out for the studying parts. Or that level of debt.
He shrugged, and accepted her correction. "I mean with the professional head on I can tell you can actually look it up, but it's a pain in the ass if you don't know what you're doing," he said. "But I know you didn't mean it like that."
"Good to meet you too Riley," he said, waving back automatically. He could probably look the family name up in his book of information, but it didn't really cover families unless they had prominent Supe components, and it seemed silly to bother for a college student he'd just met and seemed unlikely to be buying a house anytime soon. "No, I didn't grow up here. Upstate in Rochester," he agreed, eyeing the bourbon bottle and wondering if he should add a splash to his own drink after all. He sighed and went on. "I inherited from my aunt. Ms. Eaves is the senior partner and gets a say in who works with her." Such a lot of the emphasis and word choice in that sentence was doing heavy lifting of working around the aspects that he didn't really talk about and were frankly somewhat lost to even family history by now.
