Ram + Michael
"Ooh, there's a list? Where else do you want to go?" Though he didn't have any particular travel ambitions of his own, Ram was perfectly capable of being enthusiastic about other people's plans on their behalf. "Where have you been?" he added, as an afterthought. "So many questions." It was good, though, he felt like he was getting to know Michael beyond just his identity as someone who made Astrid very happy. (Though that would've been enough.)
From Michael's mention of 'semester', Ram assumed that either he or his mom worked in education, but they'd already decided (or maybe Ram had decided) that they weren't talking about work today, so he didn't follow that up. He noted Michael's flush, but incorrectly assumed it was about being a 'mama's boy' (something people had definitely called Ram over the years). "Yeah, I talk to mine all the time," he said, hoping his candour might put Michael more at ease. "She was just here for my birthday, so I don't know when I'll see her again." Frowning slightly, he asked, "A deli?" He wasn't sure where that had come from.
