Re: Mickey and Astrid and Open
A smile crossed his face tinged with a childish envy. She’d found pride in her parentage and divine association. Would he have felt the same? He might’ve been proud, or cocky. A son of the ‘king of the gods’ like Perseus or Heracles, untouchable even from his assumed stepmother. He couldn’t be sure.
“I’m happy you had that moment, if not a bit jealous.” He sounded petulant, or at least he thought so. “After the fourth or fifth incident I turned inwards and pushed everyone away. I carved a space for myself away from the world and its risks.” He let out a low chuckle. “The most damage a piano can do is to your hands as long as you’re playing it.”
That got dark, he thought as he tried to turn the conversation.
“Would you ever want to try and watch it again? Ghostbusters, I mean.” He would understand if she didn’t.
