That was good. He hadn't torn her away from anything or anyone - though there was always a chance that she was just being polite. "You know," he said, "you kind of sound like you're the big sister in all this." He paused, his feelings about whether or not they really were siblings something that he still needed to sort out.

"Um, a gig?" Joe asked, choosing to focus on that instead. "Watching or...?" He sighed, disappointed in himself. "I didn't really ask you about yourself the other day." It wasn't quite an apology but he did hope that she could forgive him for that. "If you've got time, could you maybe tell me about yourself?"
