Re: Ram and Fina
"Ehh, learn to take my self deprecating jokes," she said, waving off his praise. "I do better when I'm being serious about shit." Even academic events tended to end up with alcohol flowing, but a very different vibe, and she was usually fine. She just laughed and made a hum of agreement to his assessment of his own beauty. She didn't have a huge opinion on the matter right now. "You can whatever you like, I'm pretty sure," she said. "And so can I. But that really is minimal school talk." She booped him on the nose and giggled.
After taking a calming breath Fina she smiled again. "No, you're okay. I should be used to it, but mama is a touchy subject. I do appreciate the consideration though," she added. Despite the open invitation she had serious doubts that Maria would show up to something without a direct invitation unless it was clan-related.
She squinted at him thoughtfully for a few seconds. "You know I have no idea, we can decide on another day," she said. She swung him around as they danced with a little more enthusiasm than skill for the moment. She could dance better, but she wasn't really trying right now. "Yeah okay, party it is. But not on family property directly," she added as a caveat. The clan did own some bits almost at the lake edge because property ran down to it, but not all of it by any means.
