To group: I've taken my birthday off to come final dress shopping for the gala. Most people have to work so I figure this can be for opinions.

I'm the opposite. I've been looking at plainer dresses in the hope that I might actually wear it again.

Is this too plain?



But I did find a dress I liked with a lot more detail but I don't know if it's white enough.

Thanks. It was some kind of fitting miracle. Even the hem is close enough if I wear the right shoes. I'm not 100% sold yet, but it's a great contender.

Sorry, Felipa. I'm sure people will do that, but I'd rather you didn't.

See, Felipa has the idea. That's the sort of detail I want. Not sure I want all white though.

And Fina I'm sure that velvet looks lovely in person, but if you're looking for photos of the event for the papers I'm not sure how well that will come across.

Heidi, I'm having the same problem. So much sheer fabric! I just want something that's going to be a bit more modest, I guess?

I did kind of enjoy this one I found. Maybe I need to go back and try it on again?
