RP: Estimating Who: Felix and Michelle What: Getting an estimate for some landscaping work at her house When: Saturday, May 11, 2000 Where: Michelle and Kwame's house Warnings: Language Completion Status: In progress
Kwame was, unsurprisingly, working all weekend. Again. It seemed like an endless cycle these days. He would work a ton, she would get prickly and resentful about it, he would pull back and give her a little extra attention, only for things to spiral back to him working a ton. She knew how important the restaurant was to him, so she tried, she really did try, not to be a bitch about it, but this stay at home life was just... not her favorite thing in the world. Maybe she would feel differently once Madison was in school. She was thinking she could even start her in preschool in the fall. That would, at least, give Michelle a little more time to just be Michelle.
In the meantime, she was finding all sorts of projects so that her world didn't have to revolve completely around being a mother. This weekend, that meant inviting the owner of a landscaping business out to evaluate her back yard, which hadn't had a proper sprucing up since she and Kwame had moved in. Her parents had kept the place well groomed, but she wanted to make it hers rather than her family's. Madison was set up on the back patio with a fingerpainting set, wearing a cute pink and white polkadot swimsuit, contained in a corral of sorts, leaving Michelle free to wander around the yard with the kinda hot man who'd come out to do the estimate.
Although, thinking of him that way probably wasn't right. Was she really that kind of housewife? It wasn't like she was actually thinking about having an affair with the guy! What was the harm in recognizing someone was attractive?
"So, what do you think?" she asked him after having pointed out a few of the things she'd like to have done with the yard.
