Jani wasn't so sure she agreed with that assessment. If it helped with bouts of insomnia or a jumbled brain, she rather thought that wasn't really torture. "You don't sound so sure of that," she said, feeling herself relax by the moment, amusement threading through her tone.
"Hi, yeah, thanks Eric. I'm Jani," she said, shifting a bit to stretch a hand out for him to shake if he were so inclined. Professional hazard, really, even if she was between jobs at the moment. "I'll be looking for a place to live soon, if I decide this is really where I want to land." She'd come all the way out here practically on a whim, but when she made up her mind about something, that was usually it, and she'd made up her mind to come here.
