Who: Lucy and Jack What: Scoping out a place to live? Where: Outside the complex When: Late afternoon Saturday (4/5) Rating: TBD Status: Started You couldn't accuse Lucy Sullivan of being stupid, at least not when it came to decisions like this. She knew better than to just run into a big change without looking or checking things out first. That's why it had taken her so long to even come to Las Vegas at all; three years waiting tables and taking temp jobs until she'd finally gotten the cash needed and made the decision to take the plunge, so to speak. Now that she was here, though, she needed a place to live. Scanning the want ads hadn't done her any good so far, at least not after she actually went and met her perspective roommates. Most of the time it turned out to be someone less than desirable, or who tried to feel her up within the first five minutes of her even looking at the apartment. So now she was just looking around, checking out complex after complex and hoping to find one that would be a good place for her to stay. She had her hotel room right then, but that wasn't going to last, definitely. She needed a real place to live. So that was how she found herself trying to get a peek of one of the apartments in the complex. The nearest window that she could find was just a bit above her head, though, so she'd been forced to try and jump high enough to see in. Up, then down. Up, then down. Just a little higher and she would be able to see . . . |
