"Lovely couple?" Mohinder repeated, shocked. "Parkman and I were not a couple. We were two friends who saved Molly from..." he stopped short of saying 'people like you'. "Who saved Molly and happened to live together. But we were not a couple, far from it. Friends, and friends only." He didn't know why he'd suddenly gotten so defensive, but he didn't want people thinking that.
He shook his head as he listened to the other, "There isn't an anti-venom for every venom in the world Gabriel, and you of all people should know that. I'm not about to sound like National Geographic here and rattle off facts, but just because there's a reaction to every action, doesn't mean that there is an anti-venom for every venom." He watched the other approach him, and kneel in front of him; he doesn't protest as the other takes his hand.
"This is wrong, Gabriel, they're hunting people who have done nothing wrong. People with abilities do not need to be contained, they need to have help in controlling their abilities and harnessing them to use for the benefit of human society." He took a soft breath and looked away from Gabriel for a moment. "I don't want to talk to Nathan. I want to live a normal life with my normal little girl. Unless I have a volunteer from someone who wants to live a normal life when they're clearly not normal." Of course, he was referring to Gabriel. He was about to have a baby with the woman he loved; why wouldn't he want to be normal now?
"I can't sit idly by as people will be rounded up and kept away from society. We have rights as American citizens. I will not keep quiet as people I know and care about are rounded up like cattle and led to the slaughter." He removes his hand from Gabriel's and stands. "You can't be a part of this. I don't believe it. You wouldn't turn your back on people with abilities for someone like Nathan; he's a hypocrite."
