His eyes snap open at the others voice, startling him and he sits up fast. He should've known Gabriel would do something like that to him. He gives a weak smile and turns to the other, shaking his head. "Don't sneak up on a man who, when he feels like he's threatened, practically turns into a good-looking Incredible Hulk." He gives a small, joking smile. Though, he was sure if he'd grabbed Gabriel in that moment of panic and tossed him to the ground, the recovery would be quick. He wasn't just any other person.
"I'm just glad to be back." He tells him, motioning for Gabriel to come around and sit on the bench with him. "India is always so hot. I like it here; the cool nights, even if you can't see the stars for the worth of the city lights." He takes another deep breath of the cool night air before sitting up and attempting to focus a little more. He grabs the bag sitting next to him and gives it to Gabriel. "It isn't exactly for you. Well, its for you but I'm not sure how much you'll appreciate it. I hope you like it."
He bites his lip a little as he gives it to him; he wished he could have found something suitable for Gabriel but everything he saw was too... sentimental? He'd seen a lovely watch there but Gabriel was a watchmaker, he probably had more than he could handle in his possession already, so Mohinder skipped that. The mobile, though, was handcrafted by someone in the small village that he and Molly visited before leaving. It was three strands and hand carved wooden and painted fish, three of them on each strand and separated by carved wooden spacers made up the mobile. "Babies are receptive to color... I figured it might be something nice for you to have... kind of... I don't know. Get started on the whole... nursery set up, and such."
