Gabriel on the other hand of it all wasn't really happy. At all. Well. He was, deep down the whole idea of it thrilled him to no end. He was terrified though. Completely and utterly terrified because he can't be a father. Not now. He's only just gotten control of his own carnal urges to attack people just because they had something that he wanted, and now, in under a year he was supposed to be bit to raise a child? How on earth was he supposed to be that? Of course there was everything about the fact that he was bound to love and adore the baby that worried him as well. He had killed Elle because he loved her. Because he knew that if his enemies knew that he loved Elle, then they would go after her to get to him. Torture and abuse her to get to him, and that was why he had killed her. To save her from that. Now that she was back in his life he still feared for her safety, and now with the baby? He feared even more.
If something happened to either of them, he knew perfectly well that he wouldn't be able to control himself. And he wouldn't want to control himself either. Them being taken away from him would mean that the most important people in his life were gone, so why should he care? He would rip apart the people who hurt them with his bare hands. He wouldn't even bother using his abilities to get them. He wouldn't need to either probably.
What he was thankful for though was that he had Mohinder back in his life. He had been a good friend to him, well to Zane, in the time that they had spent together. Late nights talking and hours spent on the road, you couldn't avoid getting close to the other whether you liked it or not. And after he had been found out, well, he had missed their relationship. It was their relationship that had had him calling Mohinder after all the night that he had painted himself getting induced radioactivity, and the suspicion that he was to be the one to blow up New York. As he'd said, before he had always had an objective. He had wanted abilities, craved them. But why blow up New York? So many innocent people would have lost their lives. It hadn't made sense to him at the time, which was why he had called Mohinder in his panic. What would have happened had he not heard Mohinder dialing 911? The world will never know the answer to that, sadly.
He had actually left earlier int he evening before he had received the text. Kissing Elle good bye he had told her not to wait up for him. He knew he would be coming home early as Mohinder probably would want to go home semi early at least, but still. A smile had crossed his face when he received the text announcing his friends arrival and where he was waiting for him, and he abused the fact that he could sneak without people noticing him to do so on Mohinder, appearing behind him with a slight smirk on his face as he leaned down and breathed hotly against his ear.
"You should be more aware of your surroundings Mohinder," he murmured, and then chuckled darkly. "Who knows who might sneak up on you when you least expect it?"
