"I know," Adam said, offering her a slightly amused grin as he shrugged off his jacket. It hung just around his knees on him, so he figured that it would provide Angela with the cover that she, apparently, felt that she needed. Modesty was always an endearing trait to come across. He'd lost his a long, long time ago. Taking a step forward, Adam offered the coat out to her with a wider smile. "I'm here to talk to you, my dear."
It was the only way that he could, after all, it was hard to say what Arthur would do if he thought that Adam was trying to cut him out of something, that he was trying to allow Angela the freedom to think for herself. It was something that Arthur certainly rarely did.
"I certainly didn't mean to catch you unaware. But it could have been worse. You could have been in the altogether."
