Standing as he listened to Danko speak, Nathan bit nodded. It sounded like a good idea. When he'd put his proposition forward he'd tried to make it as clear to the President and his advisor as possible that he wanted non-lethal force used. These men and women weren't criminals, they weren't really dangerous, and they were still American citizens. They weren't criminals, terrorists, or animals that needed to be put down. "All right. After the debriefing here you can show us how this works and then we'll see about outfitting our men with them and training."
Sticking his head out the door he had his secretary bring a fresh pot of coffee into the room. She set it in the middle of the table where both Danko and Hanson would be able to reach it along with a few cups, creamers, and sugar before stepping out. Nathan walked to the front of the room, staring at the pictures for a moment. Most of the people he knew by name on a personal level. Picking up a folder from nearby, Nathan flipped it open and sighed. He frowned as he stared at the picture before hanging it upon the board. "Sorry, Pete..." he whispered to the picture before turning back to them.
"All right, Danko since you had a meeting with your superior a lot of the information may be redundant but it's important for Agent Hanson. Likewise, Agent Hanson, a lot of the questions I ask you will be redundant but it's important that you tell me and Danko as much as you can about the Sylar case." Once he was sure they were ready he passed them both folders. The folders contained the same information he'd given the President complete with pictures. They both lacked information on Peter.
"Now, it has become apparent over the years that there are certain men and women out there who were born with special... abilities. These abilities make them capable of things we've only ever read about in science fiction novels. The faces you see on this board are just the ones I know of. There are more... a lot more out there with abilities ranging from the harmless and mundane to the dangerous and extravagant. Ted Sprague was capable of generating radioactivity in a great enough amount that he could've taken out an entire city. This woman here, Tracy Strauss, has the ability to freeze anything she touches. The affects are much like those of liquid nitrogen. She's killed before. Matt Parkman can read minds, more to the point, his powers have evolved over the years so he's capable of pushing a thought into someone's head." He said, glancing over at Agent Hanson. He knew she'd worked with Parkman before. It was in her profile.
"Hiro Nakamura has the ability to freeze time. While I'm not sure if it's true or not it has been reported that he can travel back and forth in time at will. Everyone you see here is capable of something extraordinary and, when pushed, can be extremely dangerous. Their actions in the past has lead to the near destruction of man kind on, at least, three occasions that I know of. It's important that we round them all up but that we start with these faces on the board first. There's also a doctor named Mohinder Suresh from India. Last year, he was working on a serum which would grant normal people abilities like these. He was successful. It stands to reason that if he found a way to grant powers he can find a way to take them away. I want all these men and women brought in alive."
He turned slightly so he could focus his attention on the only woman present. "Agent Hanson, in 2006 you were trailing a killer named Sylar. You came close to catching him on several occasions but he always just escaped you. Sylar was one of these special people with abilities. The men and women he killed had abilities as well. It is believed that he killed them and cut out their brains so he could take their powers."
