After conversing with Anna over the boards, Raven gazed around the apartment lobby which looked big enough to fit her entire house in. She had grown up in a rich family, but the lobby she stood in looked more extravagant than her home in India had been. That and the fact there were objects that she had never seen before. The electronic devices that were on the tables and what not confused Raven more than being dropped to wherever she was. Picking up the skirt of her orange Indian style dress so she would not trip, she stood up from the seat she was sitting on and got a good look around. Mostly she was looking for a news paper with at least a date on it so she could figure out when and where she was. Catching sight of one, she picked it up and looked at it and her eyes grew wide. 2014. Blimey! How did she travel forward in time from the 80's to the 21st century? Gazing at the paper for a few minutes, she took it with her to where she had been sitting earlier.
Sitting down and looking up occasionally for any signs of Anna, Raven was anxious to tell her best friend what had been going on. She knew that Anna would be just as shocked as she was that they had somehow traveled in time without means of the Floo Network or a Time Turner. Even with those means of traveling it was risky. Sighing deeply she focused on the headlines rather than the influx of voices that she heard in her head. Since her arrival the noises had gotten worse. It was making her feel weak as much as she tried to turn them off. With her ability uncontrolled as it was, Raven had an idea it was going to take a while before she could get a firm grip on it. She was glad of the fact the other ability had not made its presence known. Letting the paper fall from her fingers, Raven lowered her head and tried to silence the growing voices. She drew her legs up and laid her head on her knees and took deep breaths. She was so focused that she did not hear footsteps approach her and a familiar voice speak her name softly.
