prιnce cнarleѕ. ([info]aboutbloodytime) wrote in [info]hellascenes,
He was used to strange things, honestly, but this was especially strange. Even for Captain Hook. Waking up with a lovely lady in his bed -- okay, not the strangest thing, honestly, but usually he remembered them come morning. His bedmate had leaped out the second she was awake enough to know she didn't know him, and he didn't exactly hold it against her, and didn't even bother to follow her as she left. He had more pressing things to worry about. Like the fact that this was not where he was meant to be. Last Hook could recall, he'd been sailing his ship into a portal, off to Neverland. Off to save wee Henry, the son of Baelfire.

And now... he was here. He couldn't quite decide how he felt about it. Killian had not bothered to care about anyone or anything but himself in a very long time, but he'd turned around for a reason. For Milah, for Baelfire. The two were the closest thing he'd ever had to family, and they deserved the sacrifice of him going back to the place he hated most. His ragtag crew was not like to be pleased to find him missing. It was not something he'd chosen to do, after all, unlike when he'd sailed off with the last magic bean with intentions of leaving every last one of them behind, but how were they to know that? He was a pirate, not to be trusted, it was an easy assumption that he'd betrayed them.

Hook wasn't sure what to make of this situation, but talking to the lovely creature he was apparently rooming with was not a terrible idea. She claimed to be a witch, and though Killian was not necessarily fond of them, he couldn't argue that in such a situation he could use her. They both wanted out of here, and working together was better than working alone. He was not magical and he would need her help to find a portal, unless he was incredibly inventive, and he was a little out of his depth in modern worlds.

It took some time for her to come back for that face to face conversation, but he could be patient at times. "Hello there, darling," he returned, matching her smile with a charming one of his own, surprisingly enough, considering the storm playing in his thoughts. "Well, you can call me whatever you please. Phoebe, yes?" Her name might have sounded a little strange in his accent, but he'd never exactly heard the name Phoebe before. He was at least pronouncing it correctly.
