Buffy didn't know what she was going to do. She was so stressed out about all of this. It was insane. It was like everyone's fears were coming to life in front of them. But as far as she could tell, no one had invoked the little fear demon she'd stomped on a few years ago. This had to be something else, something more than likely manufactured by the Senior Partners. If Buffy ever met them...
And now on top of everything else, Angelus was back. This was also no doubt, the work of the Senior Partners. It was bad enough that they were all trapped in this version of LA. Hell dimensions were a bitch. And try as they might, no one could seem to leave. Buffy didn't know what she was going to do. She felt...powerless, and that was not a good feeling at all. And she wasn't even immune to the fear thing herself. She had just been fighting it, as much as she could. It wasn't easy, but then...none of this was. It wasn't something she could really, truly fight either. It all seemed to be illusions.
Angel was still in there, she knew that. This Angelus thing was probably only because of the fears. He'd go away. Buffy hadn't been able to find Willow anywhere. She was here before, but now she was gone? Maybe it was just another cruel part of the Senior Partners' plan. Maybe Willow had never really been here at all. Buffy didn't know what to think about that. Buffy was trying to figure this out on her own, she could really have used Giles right about now.
When the door was kicked in, she looked up in surprise. She hadn't even thought to uninvite him from the apartment. Shit. But he wasn't really Angelus, right? This was still Angel...and the fear thing was messing with them. "You're not welcome here." She told him, not moving for the moment. Angel was welcome, but Angelus...not so much.
