"My name is Keleios," she said, mercifully oblivious to his internal monologue. She wouldn't have known what to do with someone who thought they should protect her. She was far too accustomed to having to fend for herself--and she was good at it, too. As it was, she suspected she was the one who'd be doing the protecting, anyway.
