Who: Faith and Klaus
Where: Alley near the hotel
What: Breaking each other
When: Now.
Rating: High.
Open: Sure, toward the end of their fight.
Notes: For plot purposes.

A muddled slayer mind wasn't the best place to be, her sense have been tingling nonstop and she felt like she had an itch that a scratch wasn't relieving. She had been patrolling, blood was dripping from her knuckles from a few fights she had already been in, did she have a right to be in them, she didn't know, Faith was to the point to not caring. She had turned down an alley, shortcut back to the hotel when she saw a man, looked to be attacking a girl.

Faith mind was foggy, she wasn't sure if it was real or not, but she didn't care. No one is going to be attacked on her watch, that was for damn sure. "Hey!" Faith yelled out, "get away from here." She took off running, her fist was reared back, and she slammed hard into the male. "Why don't you pick on someone your own size." She was too keyed up, Faith didn't even look to see if the girl took off, she wanted the fight, she wanted the kill, she was slay and Faith Lehane planned to slay this person.

She ducked a few, only a few did hit her, harder then most, but she stood her ground. "Run," she told the girl as she swirled around, a leg coming right out oh him. "Back off, you are going hungry tonight," she growled at him.

There was something about fighting, something about knowing this thing, no longer a person in her eyes, would die by her hands tonight. She arched a brow, smirking, she snapped back at him. "Out of my league? I don't play the rules."

Klaus was surprised at how well she took the blows he rained down on her. She wasn't a vampire - he could hear the way her heart pounded with the exertion as they fought. But what human could match him so readily? He growled at her as she kept coming. The girl was long forgotten - he hadn't been looking for a snack anyway. Klaus was fully focused on the task at hand, which would be beating the woman before him and getting her out of the way. "Not as long as you're sticking around," he shot back at her.

Klaus managed to match her blow for blow, moving flawlessly. After all, he had a thousand years under his belt - which included plenty of wars and countless skirmishes. The way he moved gave it away, that he was far older than his looks suggested. It was that fact that gave him arrogance. He moved effortlessly, but he moved carelessly. Klaus knew he couldn't be killed and so his moves left him open frequently. Whatever she thought she was doing, it was only going to end in her death. "With or without the rules, you're still dead, love," he countered her with a smirk and a scoff before he lunged at her.

As he lunged, she stepped to the side, her foot kicking him in the knee to bring him down as she pulled out a stake, flipping in the air to catch it. He was tough and fast, she had not room for dramatic, "Not by you," Faith had no plans on dying tonight.

She went to stab him in the back of his heart, but again he was faster to much, so she missed and cursed, "What the hell are you on, steroids for vamps?" she asked, getting annoyed, she wiped some blood that Klaus had drawn from one of his hits that caught her.

Her foot connected, sending Klaus down on one knee for a moment. He growled and whirled back around to face her, fangs bared. Even in his own world, he didn't look entirely the same as normal vampires. His fangs were different, the color of his eyes a feral gold. Surely she would figure out soon that she wasn't dealing with your typical supernatural creature. Klaus was certain that, once she did, things would go very differently. If she knew what was good for her, she would turn tail and run. At the very least, he looked forward to seeing and feeling the fear that he was positive would inevitably wash over her.

Klaus easily avoided her attempt to stab him, offering a low chuckle as he wiped away his own blood she had drawn. "A vampire? No," he sneered at her. "Fancy yourself a vampire hunter, love? I'm afraid you're barking up the wrong tree. I'm much more than that. I'm an Original. A hybrid," he lunged again. "And I'm immortal." He made a grab for her throat. Fighting wasn't really his style; Klaus preferred to settle things quickly and efficiently. When he did fight, he sought to end it as swiftly as possible. This brawl had already gone on too long for his tastes. As he came at Faith once more, Klaus moved with more purpose, clearly aiming to find an opening to move in for the kill. Only one of them could make it out of this alive after all - and Klaus was confident it would be him.

He would find no fear in Faith's eyes, she was convinced she could kill him and the he was lying. She moved with him, against him, then figured if she acted like the lamb, the lion would attacked and then she could kill him. She slipped back on her leg, groaned for affect, she shifted some, hand moved down to pull out her last stake.

When he came at her, Faith rolled an inch, slam her stake, right into his heart. Her feet moved, kicking him off, then hopped off, "A hybrid," she mocked him, she pressed the stake further in, why didn't he turn to ash? Faith stepped back, her eyes widen in shocked, "Why didn't you..."

He felt the turn in the tide, picked up on the weakness she feigned, and Klaus moved swiftly to take advantage. He moved forward, making a grab with the intent to rip her throat out. But as Klaus stepped forward, Faith was there to meet him - far from the weakened opponent he had expected her to be. The stake easily pierced his chest, cracking through bone and plunging into his heart. Klaus could feel the organ collapse and he instinctively reached to grab hold of the wooden weapon. Klaus felt his legs buckle and he grabbed wildly for Faith, a half-hearted attempt to keep from collapsing completely.

As his knees gave out, Klaus glanced down at the stake embedded in his chest and let out a guttural groan. He managed to stagger backward, his back colliding with the wall and then his legs finally left him and he slid to the ground. Blue eyes wide, he gaped at the wound as the blood seeped out, darkening his shirt. "No...," he trailed off. "No, no, no," Klaus gripped the stake, voice cracking. It wasn't just any stake. It was the stake; the only true nemesis to his immortality. He was oblivious to Faith's own concern and shock. "It can't be," he whined, the words desperate and pained. This... human, this insignificant stranger had been the one to kill him?

"What have you done?" he demanded of her, choking on the words and gasping for breath. "What have you done?" he wheezed out the words again in his best attempt at a shout. Klaus's hands hovered over the stake, afraid to pull it out. Afraid. The fear was numbing and all-encompassing and horrific. Who was this girl? How had she managed to kill him? What of his siblings? Klaus shuddered and coughed, blood bubbling up in his mouth. He stared at Faith accusingly before he stared off unseeingly. "Caroline...," the name was mumbled, barely audible as he let his hands fall by his sides. Would they even know he'd been killed?

For the first time in his exceptionally long life... Klaus was terrified and he didn't know how to truly react.

The sound of Faith's heart was pounding in her ears, she could her him talk to her, but she wasn't able to do anything about it. She looked at him, her body shuddered, this man wasn't a vampire, he would have exploded into ash. She should go get help, Faith should have, but when he started to demand what did she to him, she smirked at him.

Stepping closer, she knelt down next to him, "Looks like you are wrong," she breathed, then chuckled as the blood came from his mouth. "See ya, hybrid." Faith stood up and walked off.
