She would. There really wasn't a question at all, was there? In this supposed hell they currently resided in, Tyler and Elena were all each other had and the vampire knew it. If she went back home, she'd sit and think. It wouldn't be long then till thoughts, memories, and actions brought the emotions that hinged on everything. In no time at all, she'd be a wreck; a sobbing mess on the floor. Now, she was strangely calm, the emotions held back and at bay by a bit of booze and a focus on Tyler Lockwood. All the others? They were judge. Him? He wouldn't because some part of him understood her and why she'd found it so easy to flip the switch in the first place.
"I guess I could take pity on you...for a night," she replied with a small shrug of her shoulders; a bit of a playful smile tugged at her lips and mild amusement was visible in her brown eyes. It wasn't pity. They both knew it. There was nowhere else Elena would rather be than with Tyler Lockwood right now and it was the same for him. Somehow, she'd gone from pushing him to lose control, to suddenly being the only reason he still had any at all. There was no doubt in her mind he would have wrecked this place, maybe even allowed the transition to happen in order to escape his overwhelming grief. If she hadn't shown up, there wouldn't be anything left of this place and maybe nothing left of him either.
A bit of applied pressure to the small of her back and the brunette was a step closer to sealing up the distance between them completely. His warm cheek brushed her cold forehead, the brief and very much unnecessary contact drawing an unnecessary reaction-an exhale of shaky breath-from the vampire. She swallowed; Tyler's smell overwhelmed her as much as hers did him. She closed her eyes, finding herself falling easily and willingly into the reverie he'd created with a simple touch of skin. She inhaled deep; his heart outweighing the sound of the music and every other heart beat in the room. She'd never forget it. "Tyler..." His name slipped past her lips, a bit more emotion, a bit more obvious longing than was intended right then. "I know." It wasn't needed; she knew he would just as surly as she would for him. It was that simple.
His lips found her ear, the sensation of his warm breath against her earlobe making her shiver. Further proof her emotions were flickering to life again. It wasn't just a game. No. No it wasn't. Even with her emotions flipped off, she still felt that it'd always been much more than a game of cat and mouse between them, hybrid and vampire, but in her numb state, she didn't really see it or understand. Now, with feelings all, but working in overdrive, she saw it and felt it. Overpowering and intense. She'd never felt anything quite like it in her entire life. "No, it wasn't," she whispered back. "I knew, but I didn't...understand. I do now." So much she did. "I didn't just kiss you for fun..."
