Who: Anna and Jeremy
What: Reuniting.
Where: The park.
When: Thursday evening.
Rating: Low probably.
Status: Ongoing/Closed.

Anna hadn't even had time to adjust to the idea that Jeremy Gilbert had died before he, too, had somehow wound up in this hellish version of Los Angeles. She was glad of course, that Bonnie had managed to bring him back from the dead, though she wondered what the consequences of doing so would be. She may never know. She didn't care that much about the consequences, really, but she was curious. That was just her nature. She'd fed that curiosity over the centuries by reading -- a lot. By the time she'd turned into a 150 year old vampire, Anna had read every single book she could get her hands on. And in the early 1600's? There weren't that many. Not in comparison to the amount there were now, anyway.

She was anxious. She knew her mom was there, and now so was Jeremy, but she hadn't seen either of them yet. She was still trying to figure out what the last thing her mother remembered was. If she was on speaking terms with Katherine, though, she couldn't imagine it was anytime recent. Although really, her mom had always been the more forgiving of the two of them.

Anna didn't forgive easily. Not by a long shot. She would never forgive Katherine for leaving her mom behind in that tomb, for abandoning Anna, for handing Emily Bennett over to the Council.

And she definitely wouldn't forgive her for killing Jeremy.

She didn't understand how they were all there. Or more importantly why they were all there. She and her mom had been at peace finally, but now they were both there and she figured that her mother was as corporeal as she was. Unable to stay in the apartment building any longer, Anna made her way out into the streets. It was eerily quiet for a city the size of L.A. and it did nothing to calm her nerves. She looked around, wondering what she was going to find if she just started walking. Maybe a library. Even if it was abandoned by people, it would still have books. And maybe that would prove to be a good distraction for her.

But the sound of footsteps approaching made her tense and she whirled, growing still immediately.

Jeremy.

After his conversation with Elena, Jeremy had set out to try to find Anna. Anna and him had had a rocky relationship, especially when she had been a ghost and he had been with Bonnie. Now it seemed she was back and he wasn't sure what to do, or think. Did he keep it as friends with her, did he pull her into his arms and kiss her, just because he could?

He suddenly found himself face to face with her because he could make a decision on what he would do and so he stood there, unable to move, his voice managing to say just one word for now. "Anna," he said.

She couldn't help but stare at him, drinking in the sight of his familiar face. He was older than the last time she'd seen him, of course, and his hair looked a little different, but it was definitely Jeremy. Her chest ached and she wanted to roll her eyes at herself. She was a five hundred plus year old vampire but he'd always had the ability to make her feel like a normal fifteen year old girl with a crush. Still. He was alive, and for the moment, safe. As safe as one could be in a hell dimension.

He shouldn't be there. None of them should, but least of all Jeremy.

"Hey," she said back, not moving any closer to him. She wasn't sure she'd be able to stop herself from hugging him if she did.

"Hey," he said, moving toward her, his feet taking him closer and closer to her until he was standing in front of her and he slid his arms around her, hugging her tightly. She was here. She was really here. Real, alive and here.

Anna let him come to her despite how badly she wanted to close the distance between them. When his arms slid around her, she wrapped hers around him, as well, shutting her eyes tightly. She'd been sure she'd never see him again, much less actually hug him. She was incredibly glad she'd been wrong.

After a long moment, she pulled away enough to look up at him. "How are you?" He'd said before that he was okay, but she also knew he'd gone to see his sister. Who was a vampire. Who'd turned off her emotions when he'd died.

"I'm fine. I got through to Elena. She's no longer... that way," he said. "I'm glad I was able to help there. I couldn't stand to see her that way," he said. "How are you?" he asked.

She was still struggling to get used to the fact that Elena was a vampire. She'd never shut off her emotions, but she wondered how different things might have been if she'd actually been around when Jeremy had died. It was something she'd never have the answer to, of course. Anna didn't blame Elena for turning off her emotions, even if she was unaware of the whole story including the sire bond with Damon. She knew Elena loved her brother, and for her, that was enough to understand why she'd turned things off.

And she wasn't surprised to hear that Jeremy had been able to get through to her. He was probably the only person who actually could. She knew Elena had a hard road ahead of her considering she'd have to face the things she'd likely done. Guilt and grief were difficult emotions for humans, let alone for vampires who felt things even more intensely.

"My mom's here," she told him, wrapping her arms around herself. "I haven't seen her yet." But she seemed to be friendly with Katherine and Anna just didn't understand it. She didn't even want to understand it. She still wanted Katherine dead, even if the intensity of that desire had lessened when Jeremy and her mom had shown up.

Jeremy could still feel the awkwardness between them. It was something that he hoped didn't last very long because he was so glad to have Anna back. Probably more than he should be considering everything that had happened with Bonnie.

"Is she okay?" he asked, at the mention of her mom being there. He knew how important Anna's mother was to her.

Anna felt it, too, and she hated it. But she didn't know how to get rid of it, because was didn't know where they stood and she was afraid she'd screw up his life again. It hadn't been intentional before, but she knew she'd ruined things between him and Bonnie. She'd ruined his shot at happiness, at a quasi-normal existence with someone he could actually be with. Someone who wasn't dead. She wanted that for him. She really did.

But now that they were here, in the same place, and she was somehow alive again? Well, she didn't know what to do with that. She didn't really know how much time had passed since the last time they'd seen each other, or how much his life had changed. It had obviously changed a lot. Elena had filled her in on some of it -- he'd been called as one of The Five and he'd been searching for the cure for her, and of course, that Katherine and Silas had killed him. She wasn't entirely sure how he was able to even stand being around her or Elena considering he was a hunter and they were both vampires.

But at his question about her mom, she looked up at him. "She doesn't remember the Other Side. She remembers dying, but..." Her voice trailed off and she shook her head. "I don't know. I don't even know where she is."

Jeremy wondered if Anna had been happy on the other side with her mother. He knew how important finding her again had been to Anna, so much so that she had taken the necklace.

"Do you remember much of it?" he asked
