Judith had known about Michael since Day One, and not just from her father. The network had lit up with talk about the sudden occupant of the hotel office, and it became obvious through reading the various conversations and listening in on a few not on the PDAs that he was supposedly behind the lack of profanity, the singular food selections, and various other impossible things in this impossible place.
Naturally, Judith needed to have a talk with him, and not just because of what he'd done to her dad. That was just the extra cherry in the whiskey.
She'd been biding her time, carefully contemplating what questions she might ask, weighing the possibilities and risks, like every other conversation she'd had since she was eight years old. Of course this would be different, but the fundamentals... those didn't change.
The door was already open, so she didn't knock; she'd also left Vlad with Erik for the time being, mostly out of protectiveness for her dog. Judith alone, wearing a mixture of old clothes and those she'd acquired in her time at the hotel, strolled into the office as if it were her own. Her expression neutral, her eyes on the man at the desk as she eased comfortably into one of the chairs across from him. She'd already sized him up by the time she sat down- but purposely attached no conclusion. If he wasn't more than just a long reach in a corny bow-tie, she would be severely disappointed.
