At the long look, Anders squirmed slightly. He was a bit sensitive about his lack of education. It made him feel stupid, and generally like a liar. Which, technically, he was. But he'd never claimed to know anything he didn't, not beyond the lie about reading he'd told to get into service. And that was because he knew he could help. He might have, too. As Doc had mentioned, he couldn't really know the extent of his actions in the long run.
When Doc finally spoke, Anders blinked hen slowly let himself smile. His eyes fell on the glasses, and he nodded, picking up the other and lifting it to his newfound friend.
"Can't never say I been in that position, but, yeah, I suppose it would be rough," he chuckled. "Till then I'll just claim what I can do. I'm pretty able with a needle."
He positively beamed at the idea of being 'legitimate', and nodded. His experience with his primary mentor told him Doctors preferred not to be harangued by feelings, but he couldn't keep the joy off his face. Between Carmen, Diana, and this fellow, he expected he'd be reading in no time.
"I sure appreciate it, sure. It'd be great to know all the secrets in them little marks."
