He supposed he could have turned around, but he wasn't about to get too damn cocky. Knowing his luck, the statues would find a way up the stairs and he'd break his damn neck.
"Fingers crossed, buddy," he said, letting out a breath as they moved further up the staircase. The closer to the top, the more relaxed Dean felt, but he knew they weren't out of the woods yet.
Aidan's assessment of what likely lay ahead of them was a good one. He sighed in agreement. "Yeah, you're probably right. We both go out, one looking towards one direction, the other towards the opposite. Move down the hall back to back til we get to the door?," he offered up as an alternative. "I'd like to make it to the room whole. We can wait them out there for a while before trying our hand at navigating the halls again." Maybe the statues would get bored and go on after a little while.
