There was something completely and utterly adorable about her. Maybe adorable wasn't just what he thought at the moment, but the way she carried herself was something to be said, and he liked that bite to her she had. Admirable and refreshing, though the authority thing didn't sit well with him he was all the more curious to understand more about her. However, he was completely blinded by the fact that he was talking to a woman, and his eyes checked the exit opportunities should this somehow end badly as well as the statues and where they stood for the moment.
He tried to contain the grin but it wanted to become cheeky and give a chuckle as she spouted off rules, or directions that he were to follow. There was no blaming her though, she seemed like a seasoned veteran of this place and it really couldn't hurt all that well to play along for the moment. Once he was done scouting out the place he looked back to her, or rather the weapon she had which was very hard to ignore. Gretel could easily kill him at any given point, whether he was human or vampire really. Clearing his throat some, any possibility of awkwardness or a tense situation arising was just brushed off as he smiled at her. "If I wasn't friendly, I probably wouldn't have asked for a drink at the bar with you. I mean though...that's just my observation."
She was aware of non-human folk though, and it seemed more and more like everyone around here was pretty much in the know, but about all of what he still wasn't sure. He had to be careful. "So I agree to this, that's fine. Ask away, but are you acting as an official around here or? I just am curious as to whom I'm about to share drinks with, I guess. Little pocket of hell though." He shook his finger at her a bit before pouring himself a rocks glass of whiskey and settle the bottle down. "I like that, that has a nice ring to it."
