Dolores sighed. She was fairly sure her world would be there, mostly unchanged, regardless of whether or not time actually stopped, when she returned. But he was right; if she did return, even now she would have a wealth of knowledge that she didn't have before. The knowledge that there was far more to life than living out the same storyline on repeat.
His offer made her smile.
"I'd like that," she said, and nodded. She was still in the process of sorting through her memories, trying to piece them together and figure out what had happened when.
Did it even matter? If her life had always been the same, playing on repeat, did it matter what happened during what week? Did it matter how many times she circled the maze, lead by her own voice in her head? Maybe not, but there was more to it than just her memories. She felt like some switch had been flipped in her, and her head was constantly filled with thoughts she'd never had before, ideas she never would have dreamed of.
