Life never was one to give out answers easily. It didn't stand on a street corner waiting for you to walk up and then just pass out the answers. In Obi-Wan's experience it was quite the opposite. Life presented a challenge and the journey through that challenge usually presented the answer.
It was up to the person to keep their eyes open so as not to miss it.
"Back at the gas station, someone told me that they thought the universe outside of the hotel was still. That we kept moving on, but that our world was frozen, waiting for us. And that's how people could be here for decades and never age a day. I don't know if or how that can be true. But if it is, perhaps being here is an opportunity for us to gain the knowledge we need to go back to our worlds and change things."
Or maybe that was a little too much optimism.
"It helps me. Meditation allows me the chance to refocus myself, especially when I have a lot of questions and uncertainty. It helps remind me of who I am and keeps me on track. I use it to put my memories and experiences into perspective. It's also a refreshing way to wake up in the morning. Not quite as an immediate rush as a cup of Jawa juice, but it does the trick."
And meditation didn't give you a headache later in the day.
"I could show you sometime how it's done, if you'd like. It takes practice to get used to it and to filter out the excess noise. But it doesn't require a lot to start."
