Dolores wasn't surprised Obi-Wan had obligations where he came from. Most of the people here had something to go back to, and he held himself like he had purpose. Not just from his obligation to whoever he was supposed to be protecting, but from his world, from the way he spoke about the Force and Jedi. His life had always had meaning, and now, being stuck somewhere seemingly with no purpose, he wanted to find it.
It made sense, but Dolores had never wondered about her purpose until recently. It was still a new concept to her.
"One way or another, I'm sure you'll find the answers you're lookin' for," she said, and although she couldn't really know that for sure, she sounded reassuring. She had hope. "Life just doesn't like givin' 'em to us that easy."
She'd been spending a lot of time wondering why lately, but she didn't know where to start looking for answers. She'd never questioned the nature of her reality, and now she couldn't stop wondering why she'd been okay with it, why she'd never fought back before. Why someone would create people just to play games with them for years. Why she'd suddenly ended up in this hotel, so far from the reality she was used to.
That was the only question she didn't mind not having the answer to.
