"It's difficult to imagine a place worse than that."
Unfortunately, he imagined that the hotel had a lot of experience with conjuring up strange and hellish places. If what Gretel had told him was true, and he had no reason to doubt her, then they ought to always be prepared for the worst and rejoice during the days when it wasn't quite as bad.
"But I have to agree with you. I hope the next location is less ... dead."
Or that it was home.
There hadn't been much time to reflect on the consequences of being removed from Tatooine, but now that he was in the hotel, safe from zombies, he had grown concerned that he might never get back.
"Not really. I guess I'm just like you. Curious. Hoping something will jump out at me. Or maybe just give me a better idea of what we're doing here."
He paused and looked at her.
"Do you worry that we won't ever go back? To where we came from, that is."
