Obi-Wan had never appreciated the Jedi Archives enough when he was a Padawan. As a Jedi Knight he was too busy training with lightsabers and trying to prove to the High Council that he was worthy of shedding the braid of an apprentice and joining the ranks of Masters. He never stopped to think that if he had just slowed down and spent more time among the books and data cores of information that he might have learned how to quicken his path to full-fledged Jedi.
Then again, he had always been stubborn. A fact which he had often been reminded of, and of which he later found himself repeating to his own Padawan. And though some things came easily to him, patience and understanding were aspects of his character that he had long worked hard at improving.
And the work seemed to be never ending.
He crossed the room to stand at her side. It was then that he noticed the blood stain across her shirt and his face drew into immediate concern.
