"These are just words on a page. Do they represent an honest reality? I don't know if anyone can truly know that answer. When I read my own book, I recognized the truth of the past. But the future? I think it's up to each individual reader to determine whether that truly is representative of their path in this world. Or if it's something they will turn away from, to go in a new direction."
His gaze drifted away to the shelves and shelves of stories around them. There were so many names. Some he knew. Most he didn't. It was a cornucopia of knowledge, but Obi-Wan still wasn't certain if it was fact or fiction within those pages.
"From what I know of you, Dolores, you're a strong person. You have a good heart and you seem to know yourself. That is something that many of us, human or otherwise, often struggle with our entire lives. These pages have offered you the opportunity to know yourself better and to understand the world around you. This is something that anyone who reads their own book will have to come to terms with. Knowledge is a powerful weapon. It can lead to pain or comfort, but it's always up to the user to decide how that power is implemented."
And even Obi-Wan, with all his good advice and insightful teachings, didn't know which direction he would follow now. He saw his life in the world of this book, and as a result he found himself already questioning decisions he had not yet made. It was a precarious precipice to stand upon.
"I'm sorry that you have known so much suffering. But perhaps that was a challenge necessary to help you on your way to something else. Something greater."
