Liam nodded in response to the man's comment about passing the time. If it were up to him, there wouldn't be any time that needed to be passed. However, there were just enough witnesses in the club to keep him from doing anything completely irrational. His kind stayed under the radar for very good reasons.
There was a split second hesitation before Liam reached out his hand to shake Ainsley's. His gloves were fingerless, and when his hand wrapped around the other man's, the tips of his fingers pressed cold against Ainsley's warm skin.
"Liam," he replied. He'd never found reason to lie about his name like some others. To any governmental structure, he simply didn't exist. There was no social security number and no job. His apartment was rented via a false identity, and therefore could simply be left behind at any moment.
He took his hand back after a solid pump or two. "I thought you'd like a better drink than simply a beer. That is," he said, looking over Ainsley again, "if you're really interested in drinking more tonight." His tongue pricked at his fang then, controlling himself from doing anything stupid.
