Mason tried to keep a conversation going, though he found himself mostly failing. He'd never stayed up this long after a transformation, and with everything with his mother going on, he was simply exhausted, both physically and mentally. He finished up the plate, and went to take the both of them to the sink, but Ainsley beat him to it.
He pushed off the table to stand up, and rubbed at his eyes. He was trying not to seem as tired as he was, but it wasn't really worth it now. "Are you sure?" He asked a little hesitantly. He didn't want to seem rude in any capacity, and he wasn't sure whether it was worse to just take it or to not make sure that it was okay. He already rather felt he was taking advantage of Ainsley's hospitality. "I mean, it's not an inconvenience or, you know, a problem or anything?" He tried to make it seem like he wasn't referencing their differences in species or anything with that comment. Mason wasn't sure how successful that attempt was.
