This story is one of my favorite post-DH Harry/Draco stories I've read yet, even though I'm usually more drawn to happy endings. I especially liked how Ginny provided a foil to Harry's views on justice after the war while still being in character. Very well done!

Wow. This was just so fantastic. So true to both Harry and Draco's canon-selves, and really well written. This works so well with canon : everyone is in character, the plot was great, and there was not the slightest hint of contrivance. I am very impressed! I will definitely be rereading, and re-review with more comments at that time.

Oh and also, I wanted to say that you used the prompt very well, Mystery Author. (I have my suspicions as to who you are, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see!)

The Malfoys are such Slytherins. :) I liked "Malfoys who had apparently been positive contributors to society" & the bits of (snarky) humor throughout. Even though Ginny's anger annoyed me, I can understand where she's coming from since her brother was killed by Death Eaters & she was pretty much at their mercy her 6th year. And I love your Harry. He really is the teenager we know from the book. Not superpowered or some beacon of light & justice. He has a temper, is still oblivious, is a little more mature and will basically do what he thinks is the right thing.

Ooh, ouch. That was really well put together - the trial process was interesting, and I enjoyed the duplicitous Narcissa - so wonderfully manipulative. Poor Draco, used again :-/. Great story!

This was slippery and dark and quite diabolic. Narcissa was exceptionally true, manipulative and sneaky and putting nothing before protecting the family and her interests. I really liked Lucius' pride in her. Draco was all bile and spite and fear and repression - he could have walked off the pages of the books.

And Harry - I think Harry being clueless and a step behind everyone else is not only canon, it's embedded in stone. He may one day get his act together, but not this week.

Ginny, though - oh, yes. She may be broken and fragile, but all the things I can see in her in the books, the shallowness, the anger, the selfishness, the hero worship - all come into play here. Grief hasn't changed her, it's just taken the filters off for others to see. This is very much how I can see her being. (don't get me started on how the hell JK ever really thought Harry would end up with her for the long haul).

This was wonderful! I loved the characterisations, from Harry and Draco to the elder Malfoys to everyone. Great fic, everything felt very canon. :-)

I know I'm just condemning myself to an agonising ending when I read Team Canon, but gosh... you just reeled me in with your description of post-DH, completely believable, with Harry incredibly IC with his need to see justice done - even though that justice involves Narcissa Malfoy. The debt he feels towards Narcissa is also very well-coloured, and it's something I'd see happening if we'd been given more DH in between the end of the war and the epilogue ;)

Thought the fic ended a bit abruptly after the trials started; would have loved to see more of the progression.
