Ooh, that was fabulous! I really loved how the smut tied into how Draco had been helping Harry - very clever! And Ron's rules were great.

Thanks so much. I'm a big Ron fan and love to give him the good lines, especially in an H/D fic;)

So very well done. Ron's rules, Draco's attitude, Harry's obliviousness - willful at that - just brill stuff.

I really like stories where characters have lasting injury or damage - I enjoyed the rehab and the details of how things would have to change for Harry. Great stuff :).

I likes me a magical injury story! I liked the premise of this fic, because it’s totally believable that Harry would undergo some kind of accident in his line of work. Draco here is quite far removed from his canon-self, but this works given that the fic is set when they’re 30ish. I like the way you have written him and dealt with the events of the past; it works really well.

I like confirmedgay!Harry, too, even if I did kind of hate the line "So how's my favorite homosexual ex-boyfriend today?" But I do appreciate its utility in getting a bunch of backstory out of the way.

I loved the eventual tension that developed between Harry and Draco :

Suddenly, Harry felt awkward and unsure, much like his first days at Hogwarts. There was something strange and unsaid between them, only Harry hadn't the faintest idea what it might be. Certainly, they had overcome many of their differences and much of their past.

"Well good night then," said Harry, grabbing a handful of Floo powder.

Ah, yes. The awkward end of a ‘non-date date’! You captured that feeling very well. And Harry’s attempt to make a joke about the newspaper article! I adore scenes like that.

The (first) dinner scene was priceless. Eating crow, indeed. As Bill and Ted would say, that part was so righteous. Oh, and it was neat that Dean and Seamus made an appearance! I’ve always had a soft spot for those characters. And Ron’s rules! Too brilliant.

Props to your betas, too. This story is well-edited and considered. I really enjoyed this.

Thanks for your comments. And yeah, I knew the Ginny line was going to be love/hate. I loved it and later showed their relationship as close, honest and playful, so I left it in;)

Lovely!

What a feel-good story. Everything was so clearly pictured -- I had no trouble seeing the characters in my mind (their facial expressions, everything). The progression of Harry and Draco's relationship and courtship felt so credible. This was such a pleasure -- thank you!

An engaging and quite credible story from start to finish. I was especially touched by the auction/Hogwarts painting aspect of the story--that Draco so clearly understood Harry's wistfulness for the only true home Harry ever had.

The development of their relationship flows very well, and feels extremely in character. True to each man's place in the world. I so enjoyed Harry treating Draco & shoving prejudices in others' faces.

I enjoyed this story a lot.

This was absolutely wonderful! The flow of Harry and Draco's relationship was so believable, from the hostility to the understanding they each had of the other. The little details in this make it especially wonderful: the pangram that Draco created, the magical devices to help Harry along, Dean's painting. Everything in this was so well thought out.

Great job!

Thanks buckets. The pangram was fun and actually the very first thing I wrote for this story.

This was definitely the best relationship progression between the two that I think I have ever read. Simply wonderful. Slow but there through all of Harry's frustrations. Draco was so patient.. kind of. ^^ I love Ron's reaction and his rules. Completely fabulous. I actually clapped over the fact that the ex 'moved' *giggle* FANTASTIC job!

Thanks so much. Ron is a rock and I think he often gets misused in H/D fics.
