That hurt, but in a good way. Harry's nightmares and Draco's confessions tore at me but I could see it as something that would plague them both. Well done!

The language here is just arresting, it captured me right from the beginning, with the "paradise done up in fuchsia paint" and this description of Harry: Harry didn't want to find himself at all. He was quite happy to lose himself in the city's miasma of discordant sound and culture, in its grey-coated masses shuffling along the grey pavements in the city's grey, spitty rain. Such a wonderful image of his state of mind, perfectly setting the scene that drifts between nightmares and the present. Really wonderful and heartbreaking.

So sad - but really convincing build-up and emotions. Not so sure who the brown-haired man is - is he Draco, or just a red-herring?

I read him as being Draco in disguise, since that was heavily implied by his reactions, but you are right, he could have been a red herring!

Gorgeous descriptions - this was really really good :). The confessions were a great device.

*is broken*

*sniffles*

This wouldn't hurt so much if it wasn't such a fine piece of writing. I get totally broken by separations. A lovely, tragic, canon-worthy interlude in their lives.

Intriguing story! You did include several things in this fic that I'm not wildly keen on (the Postsecret thing, flashbacks/dream sequences) but I still enjoyed this overall. It was a sweet and fun fic.

The vegan jokes did make me smile (I am semi-vegan myself, I can laugh at my own kind! For the record, I am not keen on 'cheese'cake.) And the liquorice whip : was that a nod to the Simpsons?

Holy. Crap.

This was...powerful doesn't even begin to describe what this story was.

I'm not sure I'll ever have the words to describe how evocative this story was, but perhaps that's the greatest compliment I have to give a writer.

Also, the vegan cheesecake made me laugh and shudder at the same time. There are some things that just shouldn't be consumed.

I cannot tell you how much I love this piece. The need to be away from everything, and how they come together on the confessions board. And the fact that Draco had wanted him so long, yet was still defensive, even when Harry finally gave in. I love the fight as they fell into love, and the two weeks of bliss.

And even more? I love that you didn't leave it there. By the time I read that far, I'd forgotten which team this was, but leaving it there for any team would have felt so trite, and this...this was just right. Even having them separate ever after.

Though I personally will dream of that moment when all the children are gone from the house and they find their way back to each other.

Gorgeous.

Very compelling writing. The confessions were as seductive to me as they were to Harry. And I loved that Harry and Draco weren't a happily ever after thing -- that they were in each other's lives for a certain amount of time and for a certain purpose, and that that's enough. Lovely.

That was a really neat way to tie up the H/D with canon... Extremely plausible, the way I see it, to happen during the time gap in DH. Though it hurts my fannish heart to see Harry and Draco ultimately unable to be together, I still think you did a great job of segueing the story with what we ultimately see in the epilogue. Great work!

I really did love this story, despite the lack of happy ending for Harry and Draco. They were both so lost, and they found each other and set each other onto the right path. It just didn't happen that they were going in the same direction. *sighs* Beautifully done.
