A Reminder Of How Voting Works and Watcher Participation
With just a few days remaining, the moderation team of the hd_worldcup would like to remind you, the watcher, that this is an interactive fest. You get to determine who is the best. You directly influence the outcome.

How?

There are multiple ways to participate as a watcher. The first is voting.

There are three voting categories.

The first is whether or not a participant adhered to their team definition. You can vote yes or no. Yes is worth two points and No is worth zero. Simply put "2" or "0" in the text box.

The second category is how well the participant adhered to their prompt. Remember that the prompt can be used literally or figuratively. It's up to you how well and creatively they used the prompt. This is a sliding scale of 1-9 with 9 points being the highest and 1 being the lowest.

The third category is how much you enjoyed the work. Another sliding scale of 1-9 with 9 being the highest. This is subjective and completely up to you.

Remember that all votes are screened so you can be as honest as you wish on the voting. The participant will not see these votes.

The second way to participate is by commenting (a possible multiple way of participating!). One insightful and outstanding comment every week will receive the ability to award points to the team of their choice.

At the end of the games, the mods will tabulate the comments and the top 5 commentors will receive the ability to award points to the team of their choice. The more you comment, the more chances you have to influence the outcome of the games.

All we ask is that you utilize your own journal whenever you comment.

With that said, posting starts on April 1st, 2009. Let the games begin!
