[Email to Crescent Hill Academy Faculty and Students, 6 September 2016]
Faculty and Students:
As you may be aware, the library at Crescent Hill Academy has recently undergone some renovation and reorganization, as well as some new and updated additions to our collection. This was not an inexpensive endeavour, and as such, there are certain rules in place to assure the longevity of the library space. They are as follows:
Anyone caught defacing library property - be it book, computer, or furniture - will be swiftly punished by myself
Anyone who complains that something cannot be found will be directed to the hard copy catalog to sort it out
Anyone who accesses inappropriate content on a school computer will be banned from the library for the duration of the term
Anyone who fails to replace furniture that has been moved to accommodate a group project will be forced to stand when in the library for the rest of the term
Anyone who complains to me about the severity of these terms or their punishments will only be addressed in French for the duration of the term
In addition to these new rules, a reminder that all previously existing library use rules are still in effect and enforced. You will find them posted around the library to refresh your curious young minds.
