Into The Lion's Den WHO Flynn Rosewood OT Diana von Klimburg WHAT Flynn and Diana meet to discuss a food and wine festival for the town. WHERE Durant Manor WHEN Wednesday, September 14th, 2016 (Mid-Morning)
It had been decades since Flynn had been in anything resembling a steady relationship and even further back since he'd been involved with any flavor of shapeshifter longer than a one night stand. His nightcap with Zee had been fun and they had both thoroughly enjoyed one another's company. For Flynn, it had been enough that he stayed late at the bar last night to invite her back to the manor for another night of fun. Zee had a biting wit that he liked and who didn't like to laugh? It was more than just her sense of humor that he liked, however. Recalling how she conducted herself after disappearing, her interaction at the meeting regarding Virgil Hughes, she was clearly more intelligent than she was reputed to be. And, if the rumors surrounding the arrival of Edward Pierce were true, she had a spark of ambition.
As much as he wanted to spend the rest of his Wednesday morning in Zee's company further, Flynn, alas, had business to attend to. He made sure Zee had plenty of breakfast before making a carefully worded apology to her and sent her home in one of his cars before getting ready for his meeting with Diana von Klimburg. Flynn stared back at himself in the full-length mirror and took a deep, long breath to calm his nerves and released it in a whoosh of air.
Tobias thought he was being foolhardy by meeting the Lion in its den, but after declining Diana's invitation to her New Year's ball, it was time to show a strong front. Coming to her on her turf instead of a safer location would show that Diana being a vampire was inconsequential when it came to doing business. However, Flynn was still a little nervous. Vampires could be sneaky and tricky and despite their business being of a charitable nature, someone of Diana's caliber could someone like Flynn in an uncomfortable position. Alone. Flynn had no desire to ever be alone in the presence of Diana von Klimburg.
So, he did the best he could in wearing armor. While it was not the kind he really wanted to wear, Flynn donned the next best thing: He donned a light gray suit over a deep purple dress shirt with touches of black at his throat in the form of a tie and his wrists with a simple pair of black cufflinks. When the added benefit of several blades oiled with vervain were hidden on his person, the faerie finally felt ready to meet the vampire.
