There were a lot of things he wanted to tell his brother. He wanted to talk about the financial aid and the fact that there wasn't enough money for him to get his degree. He wanted to talk about the fact that he was a failure and was afraid to be home. There was, however, comfort in being home. Even being home with his brother and talking about his room made him feel like he made the right decision.
"I'd be happy to share a room with her, or she can go back to the guest room, you know it doesn't matter either way. I didn't get the financial aid that I needed to go on, so I came home. That's why I was going to work, and asked if I could even be here. You know I suck at asking for help."
It was true. Tyler really did suffer when he had to ask for help, so the whole situation was uncomfortable for him. Kait flashed back into his mind. He could feel heat flushing to his cheeks so he stammered a little bit and waved his hand at his brother, a little annoyed. "I'm glad to be home. It's still weird and I have no idea what I'm going to do, but I'm glad to be here with you."
He paused for a moment and looked toward the door, hearing Kait's voice. "Hey, she's making breakfast. Wanna eat?"
