Tyler knew the sounds before he could really pay attention to the smells - there was always that extra signal that one of his family members were near, but the scent of Kait coming from the bathroom had completely hypnotized him from the fact hat his brother was down the hall. Even so, he was thrilled to see his brother and wrapped his arms around him eagerly, rustling his hair before they pulled away.
"Kait is in there," he explained quickly, nodding over at the door. "She left a glitter trail of shame on the stairs, which makes me question the nature of the party you guys had here last night." He wore a smirk when he glanced over at his brother, an eyebrow raised in mock concern. "What on earth were you doing with all of these kids? And yeah, I'm late, I know I am, but you know that I love having awful timing. I had to party it up with some old women on the drive home, just to grace someone with my presence."
Ego aside, he was glad to be home, and when he leaned into the door, he let out a whiny sigh. "I'm a little sad that I missed the shenanigans. Did you let the boys stay over? I don't trust these dudes - especially after not watching the freshmen come in year after year. Well, and we're men, so you know the breaks..." He trailed off, thinking of his sister, and then looked up at Jace. "Where did they all sleep? Where's your date? No walks of shame this year?"
