Cat was definitely a challenge for Bo. He attempted to play nice and not just whap at the furry thing when it came rushing by. He did once and a servant looked at him like he’d nearly exploded the world! So it wasn’t something Bo did again. Even if the little critter deserved it sometimes. Not like he had hard or anything anyways. More like a shove away. An irritated show of get awayyyy from me that of course Cat didn’t listen to. It just climbed right back next to him and started doing that weird kneady thing that was just an excuse to claw him. But Chloe wanted him to take care of the thing and so Bo tried to do just that. He remembered to feed it and remembered its water dish most of the time. Even if it seemed to like the toilet better.
Bo had no idea if the others liked Cat. He didn’t think so but he didn’t ask either. If they made a face he wrangled the thing back to Chloe’s room and shut the door. Which usually resulted in mewing and annoying sounds of dislike that Bo plugged his ears to. That’s usually when Cat started to try to break things in the room. That was never fun. Cat was pretty quick.
Anytime Chloe was in the room though Cat was all but forgotten…except when she made him notice her. Or did something bad.
The attention to Chloe thing was nothing new though. Even now amidst so much chaos and stuff going on he kept glancing her way. He wanted to see what she was doing and who was around her and what she was drinking. He was ever curious and did have that habit of trying to stick his nose where it didn’t belong. It was probably a good thing that there were so many workers tugging at him right now or he would have wandered right to her side forgetting all about the dress up he was supposed to be doing.
The stern words of the other woman were ignored of course. Like any dog that didn’t have his master trying to control him it only made Bo that much more squirmy. Sniffing at workers, tugging at their hair like they were his. If they got to do it why shouldn’t he? Was only fair. For the most part he was doing rather well considering the confining nature of the suit. The only thing that really bugged him were the shoes. Bo didn’t like dress shoes. They were so tight and just…not comfortable. It made him walk funny, like if he stepped lightly then it wouldn’t feel so funny. It didn’t work though. But it did make the girls snicker.
Shoes didn’t matter when Chloe spoke, that was when Bo beamed like he’d done it all himself. A big dopey grin as he strutted. Then the petting. Oh how he loved being petted. It wasn’t as nice through the suit but Bo wasn’t complaining, nope not at all. He leaned into the touch, though did cock his head a bit at her words “More things? Is there room for more stuff?” wouldn’t he suffocate if they put more layers on him? It already felt all stuffy. He eyed the collar when it was produced, making a slight face and sniffing at it. Bo wasn’t a fan of collars. He saw them on regular dogs but he wasn’t that sort of dog. Only time he’d really wore one was when he ran too far away from home as a pup and his parents tied him to the house so he wouldn’t wander too far. That leash was way looser then this one looked to be.
If it was anyone else Bo would have popped them right in the face and run away. But Chloe got away with a whole lot when it came to Bo. Especially when she cooed like that. Made the pup all but melt. “Noooooo” maybe just a little “Nope” a little less dreamy sounding then as he rolled his neck a bit, getting used to the feel. “I don’t mind for you.” There, that was the correct answer.
