The heart, as both siblings knew, was an entity all its own and one that rarely had any desire to listen to common sense. If it did, perhaps Dimitri would not be drawn again to the woman that had once betrayed both he and his family and Justine would not be so tormented by a former love that had ripped her heart out so long ago - they were each like moths to a flame, unable to deny that which had the power to burn them. Perhaps, though neither seemed in a rush to admit it, they even enjoyed it. Both were so controlled, so calm and decisive most of the time that anything which rattled that monotony was a welcomed change of scenery. Justine, for her part, had always loved Mikkos for his ability to make her something that no one else could, to seek out a part of her that no one else was able to - perhaps, for Dimitri, Ophelia was his revealer in that same way.
Though she'd never admit it, and wasn't too fond of the realization in that moment, Justine was beginning to understand why banishing Ophelia from their lives might not solve the issues she thought it would at first glance, why Dimitri couldn't deny her, cast her out the way they all wanted. The heart wants what the heart wants, after all, regardless of how the brain weighs in on things.
She had had a hunch that he might be waiting for her to join him in the library, so it was little surprise to her when she found him doing exactly that, book in hand to pass the time. "And I'm sure you're doomed to pick it up a hundred times more," Justine smiled down at him as he set the book aside, more important plans for the evening undoubtedly interrupting. "Getting out to somewhere other than Chroma would be lovely, actually." Not that she didn't love her little establishment, it was her baby after all, but that safe haven had been violated more than once in recent weeks and she wished to make herself a bit more difficult to find, if she could. Besides, dinner out with her only brother was a thing not to be missed - they hadn't spent quality time together in some weeks and she was so looking forward to it.
"Shall we depart then?" Justine glanced to the gold watch around one slender wrist, "Or are the reservations made for later this evening?" Surely there was a way they could kill time if it was at all necessary, conversation was a simple way to pass the time and surely there were things the two could find to discuss with one another.
