The smirk that formed on Tony's face caused Eliina's features to tighten for a moment. Her eyes narrowed and she took in a slow breath before she spoke again. "They always say it's best to keep your enemies close... and no that does not constitute any agreement with you on my part." Eliina had to be certain to add. God forbid she let anything resemble her agreeing with him exist in the world. Hell might have to have a snow flurry or two first.
"You act as though I have no idea what that would be asking..." She did. She knew full well what it could mean to anger a vampire of enough years. Though she had been entirely under lock and key the last time that had happened. She bore the scars still from it. But she wasn't under Tony's lock and key. Angering him felt like her one true way of proving that to herself as much to him. Stupid though. Entirely too stupid. "You could just attempt to keep a professional relationship with your attorney... I don't think that too much to ask." She finish snidely not wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt that his words actually gave her pause.
She wished however though that she had just walked away. Perhaps that she'd never even come by to throw his gift back in his face. Not when he decided to step out on a limb that made her body go cold. There was a momentary flash of her eyes as Lorenzo's name was spoken. A hush that came over her for a split second and killed any other snide remarks she had in store for his previous commentary on her drinking. "Friend, and I use that word loosely, of yours or no... that bastard got everything he deserved." her words were spoken coldly. Perhaps too coldly but it was better to use that tone than to relate any of the guilt that she wouldn't admit to feeling over having taken his life, deserving or no.
All thought of Lorenzo was forcibly wiped from her mind. Pushing the thoughts out, her mind was flooded with a momentary image of the very dress she sought to push away from her, slipped over her form and looking back at her as if seeing herself reflected in a mirror. It sucked the air from her lungs, not the dress but the fact that she was seeing it... Eliina squeezed her eyes shut pushing the image and the thought left with it out of her mind. Opening her eyes again she took two rapid steps forward, lifting her hand she swung quickly aimed for his cheek in a resounding slap.
"I don't care what you may or may not be offering. It's all a game and I won't play it with you."
