Hell wasn't other people. People were so much fun. Like 6 billion playthings in a giant playground. She loved people, didn't see how anyone couldn't. Then with his gift she guessed it was a little understandable. Still, she would be using it to find out all the dirt she could. And she would be, given enough time. Hesper always got what she wanted, always.
They had covered it, but that did not mean it was less upsetting. That was something very private and she had worked rather hard to keep it private. Still, now that he knew she could not change that short of killing him. So instead she'd go for something that was a lot more fun in her mind, his loyalty. Loyalty was a funny thing really, couldn't betray someone you wanted to protect after all. And she was going to use that to the fullest if she could manage. He was too pretty to kill.
Hesper's grin turned predatory when she saw that little display of color on his face. "Now what could possibly be going in that cute little head of yours?" she nearly purred out. Not that he would be able to defend himself well enough against her normally, but he was definitely tired. It would give her even more of an edge against him. Or for him really, she was doing the boy a favor in her head.
