Really she wouldn't have minded if Vernon had thrown a punch. She liked beating up people, and that would have given her a real reason to. While it might have been a bit emasculating for Chris, she really could not bring herself to care about that. A good fight was a good fight, though she doubted this fellow would be much of anything really. Probably get scared off as soon as he was pinned. Men did get so funny when a woman turned out to be stronger than they anticipated.
When he turned red from looking at her, she could not help smirking just the tiniest bit. Really, it was just the tiniest bit cute how bashful he was. Though it was not something she really understood. Being bashful was not anything she could really remember, in fact she doubted if she ever was. Plus with the people she preferred spending time with, blushing was not a very useful trait to have. The temptation to make him even more blushy was just too much for a girl like her to resist.
Leaning in before he could do anything, she kissed him lightly before pulling back to give him a smile. "Well I'm sorry that I made you wait at all." she said demurely. She could come off as sweet if she wanted to after all. Looking back over at the large lump of a person still standing there, she simply put on the sweetest smile she could manage. "I hope you don't mind, but he did promise to take me to breakfast this morning." she added, for the lump's benefit.
