Hope gave a small laugh at the consolation. "This is not turning out to be a very good vacation." Not that it was a typical vacation to begin with. She was here on business, sort of, business that it seemed she was never going to get around to. "I expect death most days, Detective, just not quite like this." It was always controlled at the hospital, sad because it was always a child, and even more so when it was one of her children.
Hope's attention moved to the other man when he spoke, a small smile gracing her features as she nodded her head. "Hope. Hope Smith." She introduced herself, not that Detective Alekos had already gotten the last name out there. She listened to his recount of the story that she had told him, what she had seen, and nodded her head at the question. "I think that pretty much covers it." The mention of the glove had given her the shivers. That was the only horror film that had ever scared her as a child, and it was always that part of it. She was liable to have nightmares for a month now.
